Before & After School - Junior

At Holy Trinity Pewley Down, we pride ourselves on providing high quality, flexible breakfast and after school clubs from 8.00am until 6.00pm. We are very fortunate to have so many dedicated teachers generously offering their free time to run free after school clubs each day of the week.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast club is available every morning between 8 and 8.30am where breakfast is available if required. Children are served cereal, toast or poached eggs. The cost is £2.00 without breakfast and £2.50 with breakfast.

Clubs +

Clubs+ after school care takes place everyday after school until 6.00pm and usually takes in the hall. Structured and free choice activities are set up together with a “quiet corner” where children can read and/or relax. We provide and encourage opportunities for outdoor play every day.

Children are asked each morning as they register for school if they will be going to Clubs+. These names are then recorded on the Clubs+ register. It is essential that your children do let their teachers know that that they are going to Clubs+ as we will then be able to follow up swiftly if they do not go to Clubs+. It will also ensure that the registration process will be more efficient and they will be able to settle into an activity sooner.

In order to provide a more substantial and healthy ‘tea’, we need to have an idea of the numbers and who will be staying for the second session. It would be helpful if you could email the Office if your child(ren) attend(s) Clubs+ on set days each month on hts@holytrinity.surrey.sch.uk so that we have a better idea of how many children to cater for.

When a teacher-led (free) club is cancelled, especially at the last minute, there can be a serious knock-on effect on Clubs+ leading to over-crowding. In the future, we will endeavour to ensure that no clubs will be cancelled. Should poor weather make it impossible to hold an outdoor club, the teacher will lead an alternative activity indoors (e.g. football / netball tactics, etc).

Clubs+ Costs

Session 1 - 3.15pm - 4.30pm - Cost £4.50 
Session 2 - 4.30pm - 6.00pm including ‘tea’ at 4.30pm - Cost £5.50

Teacher Led Clubs

Teacher led clubs start at 3.15pm and end at 4.15pm. There is lots to choose from, from hockey to drama, orchestra to art, the choice changes each term depending on the season and what staff are able to offer. The children do not need to sign up for clubs in advance, a register will be taken on the day and numbers are not normally limited. There is no charge for teacher led clubs. Outside Clubs

There are a few clubs run by external people and there is normally a charge for these. Please liaise with the individual club organiser for all adminstrative details.
