HTSC Raising Money for Our Children at School

HTSC is Holy Trinity's PTA. It involves everyone in the school community - children, parents, carers, staff and governors. It helps raise vital funds for school equipment by organizing social events for people of all ages. We run school fairs, social parties and balls, quiz nights, Bonfire nights, a fun-run and other events through the year. It is also responsible for the provision of school uniform.

The staff at Holy Trinity are extremely supportive and very involved with HTSC. They run educational evenings, always support the social events. Everyone works together to look at ways projects can be funded and where prioritising is needed.

The HTSC meet about monthly either in the staff room or in a local pub. We welcome any new members, and any new ideas. Look out for our weekly news in the school newsletter.

This year we are focussed on raising around £10,000 to redo the outside learning area.

HTSC Sponsor

A huge thank you to Cavender Sales & Lettings in Guildford who, for the second year running, have agreed to support HTSC. As well as sponsoring our major events, Cavender Sales & Lettings will donate £150 to the school if you decide to rent your property through them or if you sell a property through them, they will donate £500. So if you are thinking about either, please get in contact with them www.cavenders.co.uk.

HTSC Meetings

The money HTSC have raised has paid for numerous projects and items around the school from funding 32 new ipads, improving the outdoor areas, reading scheme books, teacher training aids and a new projector for the information TV as well as the smaller things like ice lollies for school sports day.

Fund-raisers that run throughout the school year are the sale of school uniform, the Sainsbury Gift Card Scheme and Easyfundraising. Please support these as much as you can.

We always love to see new faces and hear new ideas, as we know there are new parents coming in who were involved in their previous schools PTA. We also welcome anyone that wants to run their own fundraising event. It’s also a great way to find out about the school and how it works.

Funds Spent

In 2015/16 just over £20,000 was raised. The majority of funds raised through your generous support to HTSC events, has been spent or is in the process of being allocated, to projects to help our children enjoy their time at school even more! These include:
• Table tennis tables for Table Tennis Club
• Replacement of the project for the bottom ramp screen
• 20 iPads
• Drums
• Refurbishment of the Year 3 area
• Sports kit for teachers taking children to outside matches
• Lollies for sports day

Sainsbury's Gift Card

How does it work?

  • For every pound you put on the card, the school receives 4%
  • Fill in and return the application details .
  • Once processed, you will be given a Sainsbury's Gift Card.
  • When you pay money into the scheme, that amount will be credited to the card for you to spend.
  • You will still keep all your Nectar points on your purchases.

If everyone joined the scheme and on average paid £100 per month, the scheme would raise £1,320 per month for the school, £15,840 annually. Please download Application Details here.
