No. 245

07 January 2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

Happy New Year to all our families! We’ve so enjoyed seeing the children back in school; they all seemed so well rested and made such a positive start to these first few days of the spring term. In our Zoom assembly earlier this week, I spoke about four words beginning with P and encouraged the whole school community to live them out: Let’s be polite, positive, purposeful and peaceful! I’ll let you know how it goes, but there has been a really impressive response so far.

I’ve also been really impressed by how punctually (another P!) all the children have been arriving in the morning. It’s so important for the whole class to arrive together; missing just five minutes each day means missing almost half an hour of learning a week, and over time that adds up. Please don’t arrive too early though – early birds will be asked to go to breakfast club to make sure they’re safely cared for.

Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding in the light of our current covid restrictions. We know that the adjustments to our clubs timetable has been difficult from a child care perspective. We’re so sorry about that and hopefully it will only be for a short while. The children, as always have been cheerfully resilient and seem very relaxed to be back in school. We’re looking forward to a super term ahead!

With love,
