Tag Rugby
What an exciting day of tag rugby we encountered last Thursday in Reigate, where sixteen teams competed in the South East Regional Tag Rugby Tournament. Our team or girls and boys worked brilliantly together showing real determination and discipline on the pitch. The top two teams went through which means we will be heading off to Rugby next Wednesday to compete in the National Finals. Well done to everyone and good luck next week.

District Sports
We were blessed with a glorious afternoon of sunshine yesterday for our District Sports Athletics. As usual, the competition was fierce with children from 7 schools competing in both track and field events which produced many exciting moments! Holy Trinity managed 1st place in all year groups thanks to the efforts of all of our children who gave great support to each other. Congratulations to all involved.

Year 6 Cricket
Congratulations to the year 6 cricket team who took part in the SE Regional Finals at Regents Park on Wednesday. The boys played exceptionally and we are incredibly proud of them.

A big thank you to all of our parents, who as always provide great help and support in all we do.

Sports Day
We look forward to seeing many of you at the Holy Trinity Sports Day on Tuesday which will kick off at 1pm and we aim to finish by the end of our normal school day.

Lunch at HTPD
This is to let you know that we have had to raise the cost of our lunches minimally to £2.20 from the 1st September. I hope you will agree that even at this price they are very nutritious and well worth the 10p increase.

Wanted Urgently!
It is Curriculum Week next week and we desperately need all the newspapers that you can bring in to us. Please don’t throw any away and bring as many as you can on Monday morning. Your support is much appreciated. Thank you.

Olympic Torch Event Tickets in Stoke Park.
Please can anybody help? I was not able to get any tickets for the event on 20th July (despite applying from 9.30am). I am desperately trying to get hold of 4 tickets so that we can see Polly representing the school, holding the HTPD flag along the torch bearer’s route. I have asked lots and lots of people, and am now getting a bit worried that she will have to go alone. If you have a ticket that you will not be using please could you let me know? Many thanks. Amanda Moon (Polly 5M). Guildford 503835.

HTSC News

Please be thinking about whether you could be a Year rep next year, we generally have 6 per year. It would be great to have a new Committee signed up early so that we can hit the ground running in September! We are also still in need of a Chair or 2 x Co Chairs and a Treasurer, for next year. Please feel free to email/speak to Caroline Swift (caroline@swifts.me.uk) or Sarah Egerton (scegerton@aol.com) if you are considering any of these roles - happy to answer any questions - and there is loads of info available in the HTSC files to help!

Social - 18th July 8pm at The Albany.

Lost:

  • Navy Sweatshirt from Year 5 - it probably disappeared from 5R classroom the day of the fair, when the chairs were being moved away. Could you please check you have the correct sweatshirt at home please? Thank you.
  • Burgundy adult FatFace jumper which must've been picked up at District Sports yesterday as it wasn't there at the end. It belongs to Na Kefford and she would very much like it back. Please check you didn't pick it up by mistake. Thanks.
